With just over a week to go till the inagural Ignite Phoenix tensions are getting very excited here. Presenters have been choosen and are in the process of getting their slides submitted. Jeff and I are making sure everything else is set to go off without a hitch. (We are looking for volunteers so if you are interested please let us know.)
In the meantime I am going through my Reader Feeds and see this article on Lifehacker about Garysguide.org and the rise of Tech Events in the usual spots around the US. They have a link to this article on the NYT about IgniteNYC and my mind is being totally blown.
Timing is everything and when it rains it pours right?

I’m stoked about the spread of Ignite. When we were getting Refresh going here in Phoenix, there was only Refresh Dallas; they didn’t (as best I recall) even refer to their city in their name, since until Phoenix there was simply Refresh, a Dallas thing.
Once things were rolling here, though, it seems a new Refresh would pop up someplace else every week. It’s great, and hopefully that’ll happen with Ignite.
