When the first Ignite Phoenix wrapped, we thought we would get some rest before doing it all again. We thought wrong. There was just too much interest from people who wanted to participate, wanted to help, or just missed the first one entirely and wanted to attend.
We realized we had to hurry to beat the holiday rush, and fortunately things seem to be coming together! We have a bunch of people who are helping out in lots of different ways, which is turning Ignite into what we intended from the start – a community driven event!
Once again the format is all about you and what you have to say. Just like last time there will be 16 presenters each with 5 minutes to speak and 20 slides that auto-change every 15 seconds. The variety from the last Ignite Phoenix was what made it so much fun and we encourage you to submit no matter how crazy you think it might be.
Ignition and blast off will be October 29th, and we should have the venue finalized soon. In the meantime, submissions are now open and we’ll be taking talk ideas until October 10th. Presenters will be announced October 13th, and then you will have a week to prepare your slides. (so all you need right now is your idea!)
If YOU would like to present, fill out that form. If you know someone else who you think would like to present, send them to the site. Make the pitch. Our only advertising is word of mouth, and we need your mouth to help Ignite Phoenix II live up to the great start we saw in August.
