If “luminous” means “filled with light” (or something like that), then does “illuminous” mean “the lack of light” or just “sick light?”
English is hard.
English IS hard, which is why I try to soften it wherever possible.
Illuminous is a combination of illuminating and luminary. Being a celebrity who shines your light upon others to show the way makes you… illuminous.
If you would like, I would more than happy, even approaching rapturosity, to invent more adjectives to describe you!
