Can you help a free community event out with a few minutes of your time?
Thanks to the City of Tempe, for Ignite Phoenix #3 we are going to have nearly twice the capacity of our last venue, and we want to make sure that we not only get a lot of great presentations, but fill the room up to make a great audience. The challenge is that Ignite has no advertising budget – we’re a 100% volunteer effort. So filling up those seats depends entirely on the word of mouth from all of our supporters in the community.
So today we’re asking if people would be kind enough to spread the Ignite Phoenix love through their personal networks. Send out an email, make a blog post, set your Facebook or LinkedIn status, or just sent out some messages on Twitter.
Do people even know what Ignite is?
Just when I think we’ve spread Ignite news everywhere possible, I run into people who have never heard of it. Just telling people that this great event exists and they should attend helps enormously. Tell them to check out our web site, how you heard about us, your experience attending, or anything else that strikes your fancy. If you presented at an Ignite, send out a link to your video. Show off a bit.

Going after submitters
If you would rather hit people up to submit ideas, we would love that, too. The deadline is February 6th, and you can just send people to our submissions page. Also point people to our Blip.TV archive if they really need some ideas what it is all about.
