I started riding my bike to work in Boulder, CO with pleasant country streams, back country trails, and wide bike lanes. I currently ride my bike to work along the mean streets of Phoenix.

Do you ever see those crazy cyclists in the mornings or afternoons as say to yourself “I should do that, but it’s too hard”. It’s not as tough as you think. With a little preparation, and resourcefulness, you can bike to work safely and not smell like a dog when you get to work.

In August 2004, I was diagnosed with Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD). Within a month, over a hundred symptoms – which had plagued me since grade-school – vanished. Using free applications online from boonjin.com and info from Jonny Lee a graduate student from MIT, I created a more refined version of the will smart board. The major improvement is the infrared wand that lets you use a 10 foot square screen. You can have a “Smart Board” for under $100 as apposed to 2-3 thousand dollars. This system is also very portable and does just about everything a smart board does. You can even use laser pointers to interact with the screen, so you can yous this with screens that are much larger and would require a want that would be too long.

Fredi Lajvardi has been a teacher for 21 years at Carl Hayden High School and he is the lead mentor for the Falcon Robotics team that has received world wide acclaim.

The National Underwater Robotics Challenge is in its third year and has grown to have 20 plus teams that includes grade schoolers, high schoolers, universities and adults. The event is run from 8pm to 4am and is done at the bottom of a 13 foot pool. It is broadcast live to a viewing audience of 500 people on site and it is also webcast to the World Wide Web. The event is designed, and organized by APASE, the Arizona Promoters of Applied Science in Education, a non profit dedicated to bring attention to Arizona and to help make AZ a focal point of S.T.E.M competitions in the United States.

This balanced equation is the root of exchange systems. In the modern world, that usually means money. In the current economy, where the dollar sign sometimes looks more like a symbol of fear and uncertainty than one of prosperity, money can be hard to come by.
