The Event Night Checklist

Getting there

Ignite Phoenix #11 will take place in the Virginia G. Piper Theater at the Scottsdale Center for the Performing Arts (SCPA). Need directions? Click on this link for a map with major points highlighted or find simple directions from various parts of the Valley below.

From the North:

  • Loop 101 east and south to Indian School Rd.
  • Exit on Indian School Rd., turn right
  • Turn left onto Drinkwater Blvd.
  • After going under the bridge, turn left into the parking garage, or turn right on 2nd St., then head west to Brown Ave. to enter the Parking Corral

From the East:

  • 202 west to Loop 101 north
  • Exit Indian School Rd., turn left
  • Turn left onto Drinkwater Blvd.
  • After going under the bridge, turn left into the parking garage, or turn right on 2nd St., then head west to Brown Ave. to enter the Parking Corral

From the West:

  • I-10 east to Loop 202 east to Loop 101 north
  • Exit Indian School Rd., turn left
  • Turn left onto Drinkwater Blvd.
  • After going under the bridge, turn left into the parking garage, or turn right on 2nd St., then head west to Brown Ave. to enter the Parking Corral

Parking

Parking is available in the parking garage to the east of the SCPA, across Drinkwater Boulevard. Additional parking is available in the below-ground lot labeled “Parking Corral” at the northwest corner of 2nd St. and Brown Ave.

Food and Drink

All purchases (food, and drink) will be cash only, so plan to have some bills or a lot of change in your pocket when you arrive. If you forget, don’t worry! We will also have an ATM on-site for use by anyone who has nothing but plastic in their wallet.

Food Trucks

If you come hungry, we will have several food trucks serving from 5:00pm onwards. You can also grab a tasty bite from them at intermission and the After Party following the show. There will be a vegetarian option available. Our food trucks will be:

Bring cash for the food trucks – it makes everything go so much faster!

Drinks

Drinks of alcoholic and non-alcoholic varieties will be sold starting at 5:00pm and through to the end of the after party. There will be four bars night of the event, and only the main bar inside will accept credit card. The food trucks attending will be serving a full menu before the event, and during the after party, only during intermission will they serve an abbreviated menu.

Wifi

Scottsdale Center for the Performing Arts will have limited wifi available during the evening. We ask that anyone who has mobile broadband access use that and save the wifi for those who need it. If you have a mobile broadband device, please use it!

There’s an app for that

Yes! We have an app for Ignite Phoenix, and stay tuned because as we get closer to the event we’ll be updating it with all the important information you’ll be needing. It also features YouTube links to the videos of presentations from every prior Ignite Phoenix. You can download the latest version from iTunes here. If you do have the app and you don’t see the latest info in it, close it and restart. The app will load up the latest data.
